Ryan Reynolds Shares How He and Blake Lively Adapt to Having Four Kids: ‘We Love It’

Ryan Reynolds recently opened up about how life has changed for him and Blake Lively after welcoming their fourth child in a recent interview. In his typical humorous style, the Deadpool actor jokingly discussed their expanding family.

“I haven’t met any of them, but they seem great,” he quipped about their four children. “They have their private Instagram accounts that I follow.”

After lightening the mood with his trademark humor, Ryan seriously acknowledged that going from two to three kids was a significant transition for him and Blake, but adding a fourth didn’t feel like a huge leap. “So less of a transition from two to three,” he said. “I can’t speak for her, but that’s what I’ve observed. But we love it. I mean, we’d be idiots not to.”

Ryan also shared that both he and Blake have always wanted a big family, coming from large families themselves. “I came from a big family, she came from a big family,” he said. “We’re both youngest kids, and we both have always had this desire to have a lot of kids. So it’s kind of amazing to live your life knowing that that’s what you want.”

The couple already has three daughters, James, 8, Inez, 6, and Betty, 3. Their fourth child, born in February 2023, is yet to have their name and gender publicly revealed.

Blake revealed her pregnancy by sharing a picture of herself with her baby bump on “Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023,” captioned “Really busy.” A day later, Ryan confirmed the new addition during a CNBC interview and added that “everyone is doing great.” He humorously described their home as a “zoo” now that they have four kids.

Their eldest daughter, James, was born in 2014, around two years after Blake wrapped up her time on Gossip Girl. Inez arrived in September 2016, and Betty, named after Blake’s beverage company, Betty Buzz, was born on October 4, 2019. Ryan and Blake seem to be enjoying every moment of their growing family.
