Ryan Reynolds Opens Up About Parenting and Family Values
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively may be Hollywood icons, but when it comes to their family life, they choose a more low-key and grounded approach.
In a recent interview, the Spirited actor shared insights into how he and Lively are raising their four children, highlighting their focus on promoting mental well-being and open communication.
Reynolds expressed the importance of engaging in meaningful conversations with their children. He explained, “I think it’s more about talking to them about everything. It’s genuine when I say I take a huge interest in their days and how things are going.”
Additionally, Reynolds and Lively emphasize the value of “self-awareness” with their children, actively shielding them from the pressures of the celebrity spotlight.
“For me, the best part of my day is walking them to school and walking them back,” Reynolds revealed. “I believe that as parents, we are now better equipped to support our kids through the challenges of childhood compared to when I was a child. It’s a completely different landscape now, where people are much more self-aware. Self-awareness is what we prioritize the most with our kids. It’s not about happiness or any particular thing; it’s about fostering self-awareness and embracing all aspects of life.”
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, who have been married since 2012, are parents to three daughters, James (eight), Inez (seven), and Betty (four). They welcomed their fourth child in February.
