Blake Lively expresses admiration for her best friend Taylor Swift, emphasizing that Swift is even more incredible in person. In a belated birthday post shared on Instagram on December 17, Lively, 36, wished Swift a happy birthday and shared insights into their supportive friendship.
“Somehow, she’s even better in real life,” Lively wrote while Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game in Boston. Lively posted 10 photos from Swift’s birthday celebration on December 13 in New York City. The images captured moments from their dinner at Freemans on the Lower East Side and the subsequent larger celebration at The Box, attended by notable guests such as Miles Teller, Keleigh Teller, Gigi Hadid, Zoë Kravitz, and Antoni Porowski.
Lively has been a constant presence in Swift’s life, recently joining her on a girls’ trip to the U.K. for the London premiere of “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.” During this trip, Lively commended Beyoncé and Swift for their support amid their successful tours and film projects.
Reflecting on the positive relationships in her life, Lively shared her thoughts on Instagram earlier in the month, dispelling the notion of women being pitted against each other. She highlighted the importance of women lifting each other up and set an example for younger generations about the strength in unity.
In a humorous tone, Lively joked about her “pop stardom” and assured both Beyoncé and Swift that there is space for everyone in the entertainment industry.
Beyond her friendship with Swift, Lively has consistently shown support for her other close friends. Shortly after Swift’s birthday celebration, she attended an event for the Barbie movie to support America Ferrera, showcasing the enduring camaraderie among friends. Lively, along with Alexis Bledel and Amber Tamblyn, also staged an unofficial reunion of “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” sporting coordinated shades of pink at the event on December 15.
