Wrexham’s star striker, Paul Mullin, is apparently a big fan of global pop star Taylor Swift but is hesitant to approach club co-owner Ryan Reynolds to secure tickets for one of her concerts.
Despite Reynolds’ known connection to Taylor Swift through his wife, actress Blake Lively, Mullin has refrained from asking for assistance in getting concert tickets. Humphrey Ker, the executive director at the club, shared Mullin’s reluctance during an appearance on the Men in Blazers podcast. According to Ker, Mullin has occasionally reached out, asking for Taylor Swift tickets but expressed hesitancy in approaching Reynolds directly.
“He does occasionally text me things like ‘Can you get me Taylor Swift tickets?’ I’m like, ‘No, how would I get you Taylor Swift tickets,” said Ker during the show. “Try Ryan. His wife is best friends with her!’ And he’s like, ‘I don’t want to ask him.’ I’m like, ‘Well, do you want me to ask? You want me to go cap in hand asking for Taylor Swift tickets from Ryan? No, do it yourself!'”
Paul Mullin has been a key player for Wrexham since joining in 2021, making a significant impact and scoring 88 goals for the club. Mullin’s reluctance to directly approach Reynolds for concert tickets highlights the dynamics of their relationship within the Wrexham club.
Reynolds, who co-owns the club with Rob McElhenney, has expressed his desire to boost Wrexham’s global presence and social standing. He previously mentioned on the Fearless In Devotion podcast that he would love to see Taylor Swift perform at the club’s home stadium, the Racecourse. However, Reynolds acknowledged the limited seating at the stadium, making it unlikely for such a performance to happen.
Despite Mullin’s admiration for Taylor Swift, it seems he prefers not to involve Reynolds directly in securing tickets, highlighting the dynamics of relationships within the Wrexham football club.
