Blake Lively opted for a cozy and casual look while filming her latest project, It Ends With Us, in New Jersey. The 36-year-old actress, who was spotted on set over the weekend, sported pink overalls and Ugg Tasman slippers during her Sunday shoot.
Contrasting the floral pattern on her overalls, Blake paired them with a striped long-sleeve button-down shirt. Her strawberry blonde locks flowed down her shoulders in waves, and she highlighted her natural features with complementary makeup.
While on set, Blake was seen holding a Tupperware of food in one hand, engaged in a conversation on her cell phone, which had a long silver chain attached. Notably absent were her co-stars Justin Baldoni and Hasan Minhaj, with whom she had been seen in recent weeks. Justin, who is also the film’s director and co-writer, was not present during this particular shoot.
Originally scheduled for a February 4 release, the production of It Ends With Us was delayed for months due to strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).
Adapted from a romance novel by Colleen Hoover, the film features Blake Lively as Lily, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage. The storyline follows Lily’s life as she witnesses her own father abusing her mother and, despite her efforts to avoid a similar fate, ends up married to a man who also mistreats her.
Justin Baldoni, who plays Lily’s abusive husband Ryle, is not only acting in the movie but is also directing and sharing a writing credit on the screenplay with Christy Hall. When Blake’s casting was announced, Colleen Hoover expressed her excitement on Instagram, describing Blake as her dream Lily and sharing that the story was loosely inspired by her own mother’s experiences.
