The release of “It Ends With Us,” featuring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, has been postponed

The release date for the highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, “It Ends With Us,” starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, has been pushed back from February 9 to June 21. The announcement comes a year after plans for the movie were first revealed.

Meanwhile, thoughts of her first love, Atlas Corrigan, reemerge, posing a threat to the life she has built with Ryle.

Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel, loosely inspired by her own childhood and addressing themes of domest

ic abuse, has garnered widespread acclaim. In a January 2023 Instagram video, Hoover expressed gratitude to her mother for rescuing her from a challenging situation in childhood, leading them to a home filled with love and joy.

Hoover acknowledged the bittersweet nature of a film based on a book inspired by her mother’s experiences, recognizing the shared struggles of those who have faced similar challenges. Notably, the movie features Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan, Jenny Slate as Ryle’s sister, Allysa, and Hasan Minhaj as Marshall, Lily Bloom’s brother-in-law.

Production commenced in May 2023, and glimpses of the set, including the cast’s costumes and Blake Lively’s vibrant red hair, surfaced online. Despite some fan criticism of Lively’s costumes in June 2023, Colleen Hoover addressed the matter in an interview, emphasizing the importance of the conversations and the storyline rather than the outfits, expressing appreciation for the fans’ engagement with the project.
