Matthew Vaughn Predicts Deadpool 3, Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Will Revitalize the Marvel Universe
Matthew Vaughn, known for his work on X-Meš: First Class, believes that Deadpool 3 will be the much-needed remedy for Marvel Studios’ recent box office challenges. During his press tour for Argylle, Vaughn shared his excitement about some aspects of the upcoming Deadpool sequel, specifically Deadpool vs. Wolverine.
According to Vaughn, the interactions between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the movie are “unbelievable” and will provide the Marvel universe with a significant boost. He stated, “Thatās going to be the joltā¦ the Marvel universe is about to have a jolt of them, and itās going to bring that body back to lifeā¦ I think Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are about to save the whole Marvel universe.ā
While the plot of Deadpool 3 is currently undisclosed, it has been confirmed that Jackman will reprise his role as Logan / Wolverine. The involvement of Jackman in the film was first announced by Reynolds and Jackman in September 2022.
Vaughn also expressed his belief that Deadpool 3 will serve as a starting point for Marvel Studios’ future X-Meš movies, following Disney’s acquisition of the franchise rights from 21st Century Fox in 2019.
āIām a genuine fan of the X-Meš, all I want is for the movies to be as good as they should be,ā Vaughn remarked.
The third installment of Deadpool, previously produced by 21st Century Fox, will retain its R-rated status even as it becomes part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although Vaughn referred to the movie as Deadpool vs. Wolverine, an official title is yet to be revealed, with Marvel’s website still listing it as the Untitled Deadpool Movie.
Jennifer Garner is expected to join the cast as Elektra, reprising her superhero role from Daredevil (2003) and the 2005 standalone film. The movie is set to Ņŗit theaters on July 26, with principal photography already completed, as confirmed by Reynolds and Jackman in Instagram posts. Reynolds cheekily noted, “The suit hides blŠ¾Š¾d. Also sweatā¦ But today, with Deadpool wrapping, itās mostly tears.”
In conclusion, Deadpool 3, scheduled for release in July 2024, holds the promise of injecting new life into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, guided by the dynamic duo of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
