I want to hold your hand! Sir Paul McCartney, 83, gets a helping hand from wife Nancy Shevell, 64, as they take a dip in the Hamptons in matching outfits while on beach run

Sir Paul McCartney is enjoying his summer across the pond in the Hamptons and was spotted cooling off in the sea with his wife Nancy Shevell on Friday.

The music icon, 79, and his wife Nancy, 61, headed out for a beach run – finishing off their exercise session on the sand with a dip in the water together.

Frolicking in the waves, the couple then headed back onto the beach, with Nancy reaching a hand out to help Paul keep his balance as he made his way up onto the shore.

The couple were perfectly in sync for their beach-filled morning, with Paul and Nancy stepping out in colour-coordinated gym gear.

Nancy, meanwhile, matched her famous husband as she donned a black fleece and shorts, with a cobalt blue swimsuit underneath.

Adding a touch of glamour to her sporty ensemble, she accessorised for her run with a straw fedora hat and sunglasses.

Taking to the sand barefoot, the couple worked up a sweat as they jogged along the beach, before stopping to cool off in the ocean and the large waves.

Paul and Nancy spend most of their summers over in the Hamptons – a group of beach towns located in Long Island, New York and known for its high-end restaurants and bars and designer boutiques.

Legendary musician Paul purchased a $1million (£716k) property in the Hamptons over a decade ago, with his luxury home boasting an outdoor pool and located close to the water.

He spends most of his time in the Hamptons, where he likes to sail, in the summer months, but his permanent residence – a £10m home in St John’s Wood – is in London.

Looking as loved-up as ever, Paul and Nancy were seen making the most of their early start as they strolled hand-in-hand along the beach.

he pair have been together since 2007 and married in a ceremony held in Marylebone four years later in 2011.

It’s thought Paul and Nancy, who is 18 years his junior, first met thanks to both owning homes in the Hamptons.

Paul was previously married twice before – he wed first wife Linda in 1969 and the pair were married until Linda died, aged 56, in 1998, following a bаttle with breаst cаncer.

Paul and Linda share four children; daughters Heather, Mary and Stella, and son James.

He later wed second wife Heather Mills, who he shares daughter Beatrice with, in 2002 – they split four years later in 2006 and their divorce, costing the star £24.3 million, was finalised in 2008.

Paul and Nancy’s summer break comes after an unusual move in the Paul’s music career saw him record himself munching carrots and celery for a new release.

Fans will finally get to hear the snippet that Paul first recorded 20 years ago for the band Suρer Furry Animals to use as a backing track on their song, Receptacle For The Respectable.

The isolated audio has now been released on its own to celebrate the 20-year anniversary edition of the Suρer Furry Animals album, Rings Around The World.

A source told The Sun: ‘Admittedly, this is no Hey Jude.

‘But it might provide some nice background noise for a true Beatles fan. Or a vegan.’
