The cover story of HYPEBEAST with Ye was released online. The Chicago artist talked about his work with Yeezy, working with Ty Dolla Sign, and a lot more during their long chat.
Ye talked about Drake and 21 Savage, which was one of the best parts of the chat. When asked about his work with Ty and how he knows when someone is the right person to work with, the Yeezy designer said that the rappers were “such a great combination.”
Ye said, “Man, Ty and I have been making music together for so long.” “Most likely, people didn’t know what they saw at first.” “Oh, Ty wrote on ‘FourFiveSeconds.'” Ty wrote for “Only One,” “Real Friends,” and “Fade.” He wrote songs that I made with Paul McCartney. When people hear these whole records, they say, “Wow, they make the best music together.”Drake and Savage have worked together on songs like “Sneakin’,” “Mr. Right Now,” and “Knife Talk” from Certified Lover Boy. It’s interesting that the Canadian singer made fun of Ye on “Circo Loco” from her 2022 album Her Loss.
Drake yelled, “Linking with the opps, b**ch, I did that shit for J. Prince/B**ch, I did it for the mob ties” in reference to their reunion for the Free Larry Hoover Concert. Ye replied on Twitter, “Enough already.” I did give this man flowers more than once.
In another part of his interview with HYPEBEAST, Ye talked about how he worked on new songs with North West. “She’s really a great artist,” I said. That’s what it is. “She is producing all of the music she is working on herself,” he said. “It’s just a full expression of who she is, from what she does on stage to what she thinks about in the bars.”
