The Italian truck maker Iveco Group is creating specially designed vehicles for the band.

 

This summer, Metallica will be touring Europe, and its convoy will be driving trucks that run on hydrogen fuel cells.

Metallica’s global tour will begin in Munich, Germany on May 24. They currently have 14 performances planned in nine different locations in Western and Central Europe as well as Scandinavia.

During the tour, which ends in Madrid, Spain on July 14, some of the trucks that transport the band’s instruments and other equipment will travel thousands of kilometers on hydrogen.
