Leeds festival-goers demand refund after 21 Savage ‘turns up 40 minutes late and does 10 minute set’

21 Savage isn’t afraid of “the smoke,” but he seems to be under fire after people at the Leeds Festival said he showed up “40 minutes late” for a “10-minute set.”

The 31-year-old rapper was born in London but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He was scheduled to appear on the main stage on Friday (August 23) from 6:05 pm to 6:55 pm.

With day tickets starting at £115.00 and weekend tickets starting at £325.00 in Reading and Leeds, hip-hop fans were excited to see the Grammy-winning artist perform. But it looks like 21 has upset some concertgoers, who called it a “absolute joke” that he was late for the show.

Besides that, they said he “played four songs” and “slurred every song.”

“Hey, where do I stand in complaining to Leeds Festival about half the line-up being axed and 21 Savage only doing 10 minutes of a one-hour set?” someone wrote on X. The whole day was a mess. “Paid for a Friday day ticket.”

They replied, “Please follow us so we can help you get in touch with the team via direct message.” Thank you!”Others are still upset: “Can we not take the money given to 21 Savage to play Leeds Fest for literally 12 mins and give it to Friday day ticket holders as a refund for that absolute s**t show.”

A third said, “That was a joke. It was supposed to be a 50-minute set, but they drag it out for the last 10 or so.” Someone else would have used that time slot the whole time if it had been given to them.

“21 Savage summed up today,” said someone else. It’s 40 minutes late. Slurred every song. Played 4 songs all together. **** off. “The worst show I’ve ever seen.”Given how much 21 loves his country, the accusations come as a surprise.

He had been living in the US without papers for 13 years, but it wasn’t until 2023 that he got permanent residency.

This meant that he could finally play his first solo show in the UK in November 2023 at The O2.

“Being back in London has made me remember so many things from my childhood,” he said. “This is where my journey ends and where I begin again.”

“What drives me is to stand on stage in front of all these people who have helped me along the way in my career.”

“Going home was like a party for me, my family, and the fans as well.”

“The party after the show was full of good vibes. Having so many peers from the UK show support on stage and after was the best.”

21 Savage will play on Reading’s Main Stage on Sunday, August 25, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
