Wiz Khalifa is a family man, even when he’s out at the strip clubs.

In a new interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the 36-year-old artist talked about how close he is to his mom Peachie and how they “do everything together,” even going to strip joints.

“For my mom, Mother’s Day is always today.” My name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz, and I go by the stage name Wiz. “If you meet her, you’ll fall in love with her, so every day is her day.””My mom and I do everything together.” We both go to strip clubs. Our trip was to Mexico. “We went to Coachella together,” the “Young, Wild & Free” singer said. “Yes, we do everything.” “That’s my dog!”

The mother and son may have some wild nights out, but Wiz really wants to spend time with Peachie and his son Sebastian Taylor, whom he has with ex-wife Amber Rose.

“I enjoy being at home the most, especially when I’m taking care of my kids and doing other housework.” “That’s something I really value, and that time is very important to me,” he said.Wiz talked about his childhood, how he got into music, and other family members who have had an effect on his work in other parts of the interview. “I began writing when I was very young.” “When I was in third grade, my uncle taught me how to write songs,” he said.

“I grew up on the internet downloading instrumentals and free styling. When I started working with my dad, he bought me my first piece of gear.” I began putting out my own mixtapes. “By the time I was 16 or 19, I had a big record deal and was running my own show,” Wiz said.

As a child, the “See You Again” singer had a very interesting and varied life. Because both of his parents were in the service, the family moved “about every two years” to places like Pittsburgh, Germany, the UK, and more.”I think my favorite place was a tie between Oklahoma, β€˜cause that’s where I had a lot of my friends, played basketball, and that’s where I first started rapping β€” well, like, recording my music,” said Wiz. “And I had a great time in Japan. Japan was a lot of fun for me.

The different places Wiz lived as a child changed him by making him “more social,” he said. “I was able to adapt and adjust to any group of people that I was around, whether it be Spanish people, Filipino kids, white kids, Black kids, everybody,” said the “Black & Yellow” artist.Sign up for PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter to get the best of what the magazine has to offer, from juicy star news to interesting human interest stories.
