In an interview, Wiz Khalifa said that he no longer wants to wear expensive jewelry.

Wiz Khalifa says he doesn’t need to wear expensive jewelry anymore because he cares about other things in life. Besides that, he says it keeps him safe since gun crime is so common these days.Khalifa talked about the choice on a recent episode of WHOO’s House Podcast.

“At some point, you grow out of that crap and start to value other things.” It’s cool to have that frame of mind or the little joint as well. “You don’t need the biggest and craziest thing to be going on,” he said.

And with all the killings and other crap going on, he said, “It’s inviting fucking energy that you don’t really need.” People look at you like they’re excited to see that kind of crap.

“Me, I’m the type of person that thinks about my safety first,” he said. “So if I could walk into a room and not make those people feel that way when they see those things, I’d do you a favor. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you or me, so I’m going to calm things down for everyone.” “Let’s not look at this.”

This is not the first time Khalifa has talked about putting on less bling. Last month, he said on Twitter that the style was going out of style.

Khalifa’s seventh studio record by himself, Multiverse, came out earlier this year. He also put out two projects with other artists: Stoner’s Night with Juicy J and Full Court Press with Big K.R.I.T., Smoke DZA, and Girl Talk.
