Rap Rising: Wiz Khalifa raps about his new daughter following mixtape release

Wiz Khalifa’s newest song is a celebration of his new daughter. It came out just a few days after he released a surprise mixtape.

The singer from Pittsburgh released his new song “Baby Girl On The Way” on August 2 through Taylor Gang Ent. The song was made by Lex Luger. On it, Wiz talks about his relationship with girlfriend Aimee Aguilar and hugs his new daughter Kaydence.

“Baby girl on the way, we been f**king for awhile, I ain’t pull it out, now baby girl on the way,” Wiz says. “I hope she got your smile, I give her style/we don’t do normal things.”

Last month, Wiz and Aimee welcome their daughter into the world. The birth of their first child wasn’t made public until Aimee posted a TikTok video about her healing after giving birth. After less than a week, Wiz got back to work by putting out Wiz Owens, a surprise album. The 13-track project has collaborations with 24hrs, Sosamann, and Young Deji. “Jet Leg,” which Wiz starts the project with, is on iHeartRadio’s Rap Rising stream.

The playlist has both Wiz’s new music and A$AP Rocky’s new song “HIGHJACK,” which debuted today as iHeartRadio’s latest World Premiere. “On Up” by Big Sean, “My Best” by Saweetie, and “GYAT” by Ice Spice from the special version of her first album Y2K! are also on it.
