Instagram livestreams from 21 Savage and Metro Boomin were recently aired. Fans everywhere were ecstatic about this possibility, as you could expect. Things swiftly deteriorated, though, as Metro stopped communicating during the stream. On the contrary, he was engaging in some lighthearted teasing of 21 in the comments area. Case in point: he referred to the musician as “OVO Savage.” The moment 21 caught on to this, he mockingly threatened to ban Metro and promptly threw him out of the live.In addition, he proceeded to reference Drake’s “Push Ups” diss on Metro. “Metro, quiet down and play some drums, n***a,” 21 yelled out during the live broadcast. Although there were people who took it seriously, it was clear that everyone was just having fun. Even though they’ve been working together for over a decade, Metro and 21 nevertheless have an unspoken understanding that no one outside of the two companies can fully explain. The fans, I hope, will not take themselves too seriously.
