Wiz Khalifa shares family moments in $15M Los Angeles mansion

Although Wiz Khalifa was born in Pittsburgh, he now lives in Los Angeles, California. He became famous in 2010 for his song “Black and Yellow,” which is the Steelers’ theme. The musician has had a home on the West Coast since 2016 in a Mediterranean-style house with great views that he pays $16,000 a month to rent. “It was a great spot.” “We looked around, and I didn’t want to be too far from where I work, where I go to the gym, and where my son goes to school,” Khalifa says about the house he chose. “The place was good for me to be alone.”

Many things about the six-bedroom house are meant to honor his five-year-old son Sebastian, whose mother is Wiz Khalifa’s ex-wife Amber Rose. “He plays downstairs, and upstairs there’s a playroom with more books and learning toys.” One has toys downstairs, and one has books upstairs. “Most of the space in my house is for him, so the more places he can have to do his thing, the better,” Khalifa, who clearly loves his son, says.

But there are also places just for adults: A weed bar has been set up by the musician, Khalifa Kush (or “KK”), who has talked about how much pot he smokes every month and has his own brand. The corner has his glass accessories and a handmade neon sign that says “High Life.” He says, “Anyone who smokes pot has a little area of their house that looks like that.” To be clear, this isn’t a place to party. Khan says, “I don’t invite people to my house.”

Because he’s “been working from home for some years,” Khalifa built a studio in his house, but his favorite room is still his bedroom: “It just has a nice view, but I don’t get to sleep in my own bed very often because I travel and other things.” That is, I’m in bed when I’m at home and not with my son.

Karen Khalifa worked with Tricia Morrison of Details by Others and interior designer Michelle Silva to make the renting feel like home. Silva worked with Liz Tapper of Liz Tapper Interiors. “I think, overall, we were looking to achieve a design that we thought was indicative of who he was: a father, an entertainer, a free spirit, and a creative,” Silva says. “Because he is so young, we wanted the design to be fun and cool.” Because they have to do with fashion, we wanted to show off the fun and interesting materials. It had to be something that showed off his attitude and way of life with a lot of different options while also being very comfortable.
