If you ask anyone, they might need to know who Cameron Jibril Thomaz is. It’s likely that Whiz Khalifa will be pointed out right away if you ask about him. When the fifteen-year-old from Pittsburgh started his musical trip, he passed by many important landmarks. A steady group of people like one of the songs he wrote back in 2014. That’s why more than five billion people have watched it so far. It’s a whole different story that the amount of time he spent writing it might surprise most conservatives.A lot of people say that good things take time. God made the world in seven days, after all. Most people don’t know this, but some windfalls do come together before you know it.
Still setting records, Whiz Khalifa’s songLogan Paul and his friends Mike Majlak and George Janko were joined by Whiz Khalifa on the most recent episode of the very popular podcast Impaulsive. Since it began four years ago, more than a million people have signed up to receive the show. He told the three of them about his life, from the offices in Pittsburgh to the big, high-tech stations.During their talk, Logan said something about watching the video for his hit song “See You Again.” He was shocked by the numbers that went with the original music for Furious 7.Logan Paul was interested in how the artist wrote, so he said, “I’m really curious about this process because as a creative it it’s sometimes hard, you know…”
Khalifa explained how they got the song’s beats: “…and they literally gave me like a list of words was like this word this word like family bonding uh never turn back like, and they were like ‘all right, write your verse, and that’s how we did it.'”
Mike was shocked and wanted to know if set formats worked with the rapper’s writing style or not. Khalifa replied that it helped him instead, which made no sense. Still, he did the exercise without any problems because he had been writing songs for a while.Logan jumped right away and asked how long it took him to write “See You Again.” This is what the Pittsburgh artist said in response: “15 minutes.”
An honor for Paul WalkerThe song was written by DJ Frank E, Charlie Puth, and Whiz Khalifa. It came out on March 10, 2015. From July 10th to August 4th, 2017, it was the most-watched movie on YouTube. The sad song is a tribute to the late star Paul Walker, who died in a terrible car accident in 2013. Paul Walker, along with Vin Diesel, was the face of the Fast and Furious movies. He died too soon, though, before the seventh version came out.
The song was nominated for three Grammys: Best Song Written, Best Pop Duo or Group Performance, and Song of the Year. The song was also named the best-performing record in the world in 2015 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
“See You Again” has been seen more than five billion times. Therefore, it’s likely that Wiz and Co. made more than $5 million. But, of course, how much he makes depends on the terms of his deal with his record company and distributor.
