Travis Scott demonstrates his baseball skills while presenting the Annual Cactus Jack Foundation Celebrity Softball Classic

At Minute Maid Park, the Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic will be hosted by the Houston rapper. You may purchаse tickets starting at $15 at astros.com/cactusjack.

There will be a softball game and a home run derby with “an all-star lineup of baseball Hall of Famers and A-list entertainers” during the event. Project H.E.A.L., which provides scholarships, free mentаl health support, a creative design center, and event safety solutions to adolescents from disadvantaged and at-rιsk communities, is presenting the event.

An HBCU scholarship that helps pay for college is available to graduating seniors through the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, which will get a portion of the ticket sales.

There is a long-standing connection between HBCUs and Scott’s family. The family tree includes a Grambling University graduating mother, a father named Jacques, a brother named Josh who is a student at Prairie View A&M, and a sister named Jordan who just graduated from Howard University. Waymon Webster, Scott’s grandpa, was a graduate and former dean of Prairie View A&M University’s graduate program.

Scott, Kendall Jenner, Mookie Betts, and Jeff Bagwell were involved in last year’s celebrity softball game.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the inaugural Cactus Jack HBCU Classic, a collegiate baseball tournament set to take place from February 17th to the 19th at Minute Maid Park, would be sponsored by the Astros Foundation. A&M College, Grambling State University, Southern University, Prairie View A&M, Jackson State University, and Mississippi Valley State University are among the participating colleges.
