Latto Abandons Plan To Pay Fan’s Rent Following Birthday Lie

After an audience member lied about their birthday, Latto’s plans to pay someone’s rent during a recent show fell through. This made some fans unhappy.

The Clay County native appeared at ONE Musicfest in Atlanta on Saturday, October 24. She took over Cardi B’s headlining spot, which she had to cancel because of a medical emergency. A video of the show taken by Butter.Atl shows the rapper from the stage asking a security guard to check a man’s ID.

She says, “If it ain’t your birthday, you fucked it up for everyone, I’m not even gonna lie.”

The video then cuts to Latto shrugging and saying, “I was trying to pay rent,” while the disappointed crowd can be heard. This is the second time in the last few weeks that Latto has tried to make a fan happy by giving them a lot of money.

She started the “Brokey Challenge” last month, which asked fans to make movies of themselves dancing to “Brokey” by Sugar Honey Iced Tea. A woman named Yadira Ramirez was one of those fans. She shared a video from her job at Waffle House that also had five other workers in it.

Her video quickly went popular, but she had to deal with the consequences when, two days later, she shared another post saying that she had been fired and put on a list of people who could not be hired again, even though she had worked there for six years.

When Latto heard about what was going on, she not only contacted Yadira but also gave her a cool $10,000.In an Instagram post, the woman’s aunt summed up the week: “My Niece @ofyadira has had quite a week.” “She had fun at work, got fired, and then won $10,000 from @latto.” It’s not possible to make this stuff up. It’s time for the next step.

Megan Thee Stallion, Ciara, Young Nudy, Hunxho, Coco Jones, Mariah The Scientist, and Teezo Touchdown are among the artists who appear on Latto’s 21-track record Sugar Honey Iced Tea, which came out in August.

Meg is on the record twice: first, on the brand-new song “Squeeze”; and then, on the previously released “Sunday Service Remix,” which also has Flo Milli on it.

The second song is an extra track, along with the original “Sunday Service,” “Put It On Da Floor” from 2023, and “Put It On Da Floor Again,” which features Cardi B.
