Metro Boomin Seems to Hint at a Collaboration with YoungThug Following His Release from Prison

Metro Boomin is working on something.

Last week, Young Thug was finally freed from prison after a long and hard legal fight. The rapper agreed to a plea deal and will be on probation for 15 years. He also has to follow a number of terms that come with his release, such as not talking to alleged gang members or YSL members. Not included are his brother or Gunna, with whom he directly asked to be able to work again.

Fans should be glad to know that Young Thug doesn’t seem to have wasted any time getting back to work or getting back in touch with old friends and coworkers. In fact, Metro Boomin teased what looks like a new song for him on his Instagram Story last night. It’s still not clear exactly when fans can expect to hear it, but they’re still very excited.

But Metro Boomin doesn’t seem to be the only artist Young Thug is working with now that he’s free. He sent a message to X last week, the first time since he got out of jail. In one tweet, he said, “Real plea deal jack!” and then, “Wham let’s drop one on these rats Peter!” He then wrote a touching letter on his Instagram Story to welcome Young Thug home. It said, “I missed you mf!!” “Welcome back, my dear!” Thank God you are healthy and happy enough to go back to your family. I wish you nothing but the best, Jack! That’s all there is to it. Lil Baby even played a sneak peek of a new song at the Don’t Fall In Love event in San Bernardino, CA, but it’s still not clear if Young Thug will be on it.
