Wiz Khalifa is the latest rapper to become a fan of Morgan Wallen. He joined him live on stage at a recent show tour stop.
The “Black and Yellow” artist came out to support Wallen at PNC Park on Thursday, August 31, during his two-night sold-out tour in Pittsburgh, PA.Khalifa sang his most famous song and cheered Wallen on by hugging him and giving him a Terrible Towel, which is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ party towel, before Wallen left the stage.
This is the second rapper in a row to send flowers to Morgan Wallen. Back in May, it came out that Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen were really close friends. They even called each other “family” and went fishing together.
They showed off a fresh catch they caught while fishing in Wallen’s home state of Tennessee in a May Instagram post shared by the rapper. Durk and the country singer both looked dressed in camouflage.
“Family is family, nothing can change that. Also, I’m done with fish,” Smurk wrote behind his picture.
Wallen also joked on social media by posting a picture of them fishing and writing, “Durk just pulled up and taught me how to fish.” Durk replied with, “Family energy.”At first, Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen didn’t seem like a good match. In 2021, the “7 Summers” artist was caught on video cursing and swearing outside of a Nashville home.
Wallen was quickly let go from his contract with Big Loud Records, a branch of Republic Records. He later issued an apology. “I used a racist slur that was wrong and unacceptable, and I wish I could take it back,” Wallen wrote. “You should never use this kind of language as an excuse.” It’s really my fault that I used that word. I’m going to do better.During the backlash, Durk spoke out for Wallen and told TMZ that he doesn’t think the 30-year-old is racist.
He said, “No, he’s not racist.” “That’s my boy, do you know?” So we had a long talk—he had to deal with the world, and we talked behind closed doors. I can vouch for him, and he’s fine. He has not canceled.
